You need the following:
Put the trash can intended for the artwork as well as the "Front Template" on your work area.
Roughly estimate the the height of the pedal to ensure that you cut the template to the proper height to accommodate the pedal.
Cut along the black lines on the "Front Template". The depth of the cuts should be slightly longer than the height of the pedal. The width of the cut area should be 1 line wider than the width of the pedal.
Verify that the cuts are long enough and that the width of the cut area is wide enough to accommodate the pedal
Use non permanent tape to fasten the template to the trash bin. The bottom of the artwork will will end up at the same position as the bottom of the template.
Trace the pedal onto the "Front template" carefully. The cuts may shift of you use too much pressure resulting in an inaccurate tracing result.
Put tape over the cut area to bind it together for simplified cutting. Cut along the traced line. Do not remove the tape.
Use the measuring tape and make a small mark at the edge of the artwork to indicate the center.
Put the "front template" at the center of the artwork. Make sure that the bottom edge of the "front template" is aligned with the bottom edge of the artwork.
Trace the "front template" to the artwork using a pen creating a thin line. In a later stage you will need to cut away this traced line.
Wrap the artwork tight around the trash can and make a small mark where the hinge is located.
Wrap the artwork tight around the trash can and make a second small mark where the hinge is located.
Align the "back template" to the mark for the hinge as well as the upper edge of the art work. Trace with a pen along the "back template"
Repeat step 27 and 28 for the other portion of the hinge cut out (other upper side of the artwork.
Put a double adhesive tape the the where the art work meets when wrapping it around the trash bin.
